The Hands-on Training Seminar was held to show how projects can be implemented into sustainable practice by using the EuroPharm CD-ROM toolbox for professional management. The event was attended by 49 pharmacists, who had the opportunity to practice instruments and theories to manage the development and implementation of pharmacy services and discuss use of data and feedback mechanisms.
To implement a new professional service a lot of choices have to be made. The CD-ROM is an interactive education tool that provides a step by step approach to developing national implementation plans for professional programmes. This new Forum tool was introduced at the training seminar and participants learned how to use it, both politically and practically, to support the process of implementing best practices in any type of public health service.
The trainers conducted a very interactive seminar and participants evaluated the event as providing fruitful sharing and ready-made tools for action.
The CD-ROM toolbox collates all the EuroPharm Forum model programmes and includes four central elements, i.e. a fictive case study, a real case study, the Forum guidelines and instruments, and country materials.
