The professional activities of the EuroPharm Forum are set up in a Professional Programme with activities grouped in strategic areas aimed at implementing WHO policies in pharmacy practice through the national pharmaceutical associations. Each area reflects a WHO priority.
As such, the principles and philosophy behind the professional activities are based on WHO documents on the role of the pharmacist and the Pharmaceutical Care concept.
Most activities take the form of professional programmes directed primarily towards health promotion, improved management of chronic illness, and, thereby, enhance pharmacist skills at national and local level.
Other activities focus on knowledge-sharing and easy access to information on pharmacy-related activities and take place through the
Observatory, established in 2009.
