EuroPharm Forum: Regional Committee Meeting 2009

The WHO Regional Committee for Europe convened for its fifty-ninth session in Copenhagen, Denmark, on 14-17 September 2009, on which occasion the EuroPharm Forum had the opportunity to be present.

The Forum congratulates Ms Zsuzsanna Jakab, who was nominated as the next Regional Director for Europe. Ms Jakab will assume this post in February 2010 following Dr Marc Danzon.

EuroPharm Forum President Th(Dick) Tromp had the opportunity to address the audience which consisted of ministerial representatives of the 53 member states in the European region. Also present were a number of non-governmental organisations and observers to WHO Europe.
