Until 2006, the EuroPharm Forum Secretariat was placed on the premises of WHO Regional Office for Europe, and the administrative collaboration between the Forum and the WHO was, until 2008, based on the Forum Statutes.
Today, the collaboration with the World Health Organization has its foundation in a newly established memorandum of understanding of collaboration between the EuroPharm Forum and the WHO Regional Office for Europe as well as in a well-established tradition of entering into joint projects between the EuroPharm Forum and the WHO.
WHO Europe is represented on the Executive Committee through participation by a representative of the Regional Director and has access to attend all meetings of the Committee.
This representation is maintained – as has been the case through a number of years – by a representative of the department of
Health Technologies and Pharmaceuticals.
On the professional level, the collaboration with the WHO has been closest with Health Technologies and Pharmaceuticals, but the Professional Programme of the Forum reaches into other areas of the WHO, eg:
