A conference in the planning
The frames of the conference are almost in place. The conference will start on 31 March and run until the end of the day on 1 April, finishing with a joint dinner for all participants. Whether 31 March will start off with a professional programme in the afternoon or merely a get-together in the evening is being discussed at this moment, but for 1 April, it has already been decided that all will spend a full day from 9-19 working in the Working Groups and concluding the work.
At the Annual Meeting in October 2008, the Executive Committee asked the Forum members which professional activities they would like to have in focus at the Working Conference. This survey gave a clear indication, and the professional contributors from your associations are currently being asked for their views in order to pinpoint even more the focus of attention.
It is already clear that the programme should focus on both high-priority working groups and mature working groups, and it will become clear by December which ones are in demand. With this in mind, it is now being discussed if a half-day programme should be arranged on 31 March with the aim of providing inspiration to our members.
Based on this process, a tailored programme will be prepared taking into account all of your inputs, and more information will follow when the programme is in place.
